Ajay Gopinathan wins a 2009 James S. McDonnell Foundation Award
This award was made under the Complex Systems Program of the McDonnell Foundation's 21st Century Science Initiative. Funding supports our group's research on "Biological Transport in Complex and Dynamic Environments" for a period of 5 years.
"21st Century Research Awards are designed to support research projects with a high probability of generating new knowledge and insights... and have a strong likelihood of influencing the development of new ways of thinking about important problems. The Complex Systems program supports scholarship and research directed toward the development of theoretical and mathematical tools that can be applied to the study of complex, adaptive, nonlinear systems. "
