Welcome to my homepage
Hi my name is Orkan (also known as "Matt" to many) and welcome to my homepage. I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at UC Merced. Here you can find basic information on my research and teaching activities which focus on problems in geophysical and astrophysical fluid dynamics, shear flows, and transient growth processes. Also there are links to some of my recent publications and brief descriptions of some current research topics of interest to me (which, of course, change over a short time-scale). Please feel free to contact me through the contact tab found above.
